Senior Product Designer (UX/UI)
Senior Product Designer (UX/UI)
Company, Product: Exygy, Bloom
Date Posted: Friday, May 22
Application Deadline: Monday, June 8
Function: Design
Level: P3
Dates: Q3 2026 - Q1 2027
Exygy seeks an enthusiastic, experienced, and creative Senior Product Designer who is passionate about making a difference in the world with design and technology. Join our tight-knit product team to build out Bloom Housing, our affordable housing platform. While you will be focused on Bloom, you will also be a member of Exygy’s design team, learning from and collaborating with peers across our products.
Bloom is a software solution that simplifies the search and application process while providing equitable access to affordable housing resources. Bloom helps housing seekers find, understand, and apply for affordable housing opportunities, while supporting public agencies, housing organizations, and administrators with tools that make programs easier to manage and improve over time.
As a Senior Product Designer on Bloom, you will execute UX and UI design for product features and client engagements, partner with Product and Engineering to shape usable and accessible solutions, and contribute feedback to Bloom’s broader design direction. This role is scoped as a P3 individual contributor: you will own design workstreams and small or function-specific projects, provide thoughtful recommendations, and collaborate closely with peers and leads rather than serving as the sole owner of Bloom’s product design strategy.
You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, client stakeholders, and community partners through all phases of feature delivery, from discovery and research through prototyping, testing, delivery, and iteration. You will help translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into clear, actionable design solutions that balance user needs, technical constraints, accessibility standards, client priorities, and business goals.
To support efficient delivery, you will steward and contribute to Bloom’s design system, including Figma component libraries, themeable design tokens, design documentation, and patterns that support consistency and scalability across features, workflows, and client implementations.
Bloom’s users include housing seekers, case workers, housing navigators, leasing agents, property managers, program administrators, and government and nonprofit stakeholders. Many end users are members of underserved and underrepresented communities, which makes accessibility, plain language, equity, privacy, and human-centered design essential to how we build.
Employment Terms - Temporary
This is a full-time, remote position. The existence of this role is funding and need-dependent. Committed funding is currently available through the end of Q1 2027. The anticipated assignment dates are Q3 2026, through Q1 2027, though the start and end dates may change based on business needs and funding.
